Message Yes, technically he should have used moment of inertia instead of simply inertia. But the concepts are basically the same. Inertia refers (in general) to an objects ability to resist linear acceleration...moment of inertia refers to its ability to resist angular acceleration. Same concept, just different types of motion. No reason to jump on the guy's ass like you're some kind of physics pimp.

However, KILLR300ZX is incorrect in that decreasing drivetrain mass will create more RWHP, b/c less power is lost between the engine and the wheels from rotating the drivetrain. The engine itself doesn't gain any power/torque, but the the rear wheels will, and in the real world that's what matters.
